David Kuria

David Kuria is a communication strategist passionate about the church and its ability to tell its story. He leads a faith-based communications consultancy called A Thousand Watts, and also serves as the Communications Director at Mavuno Church. A few years ago, he took the helm of the Fearless Summit, when he became its director.

The glowing impact of Kuria’s communication expertise has also been felt within the Kenyan Gospel industry, with him having been involved in organisations such as The Groove Networks (a subsidiary of Mosound Events, East Africa’s leading brand experience company), where he was team leader.

In 2022, Pastor Kuria along with his wife Pastor Joanne Kobuthi-Kuria, stepped into new shoes in their spiritual journeys when they became the lead pastors of a local Mavuno Church campus- Mavuno Church Lavington.
The two are happily married with children and live in Nairobi, Kenya.
