Jaki Mathaga

Jaki Mathaga is the founder of Arthur’s Dream Autism Trust (ADAT Foundation), an organisation that exists to provide solutions for families of people living with disabilities. ADAT focuses on advocating for inclusive access to education for children with an autism diagnosis, as well as parent-training for parents of autistic children and their families. ADAT aids parents in getting a timely diagnosis for their children, connecting them with the right schools, and establishing a support mechanism for parents of children living with various disabilities).

Jaki is also a VVLead Fellow (Vital Voices Global Fellowship Program for women leaders), and is the founder and team leader of Through The Roof, a fellowship and network of parents of children with all kinds of disabilities in Kenya.

She has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Natal in South Africa, and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom. Jaki has previously worked in fundraising and communication positions for various nonprofits in South Africa, Tanzania and Kenya. She is also the author of ‘Raise Him Up’, a book that details her fight to see her autistic son seen as an equal among children.
