Al Kags is one of Kenya’s pioneer minds in the ICT field. As a respected marketer and project manager in Kenya, his career spans from working in the private sector, government and the civil society in various capacities, and has played a key role in driving the ICT and media agenda in Kenya. He is the founder of Multiple Choices a company that builds applications for the Internet, and was involved with stating ICTVillage.com, an ICT lobby that was at the forefront of shaping ICT policy in Kenya. He has served as a program officer for the Kenya ICT Board and Chairman of the Safaricom Innovation Board, as well as serving on the Board of Friends of Karura Forest and the Aiesec Board of Advisors. Al is also known as a prominent writer and poet, having authored the book Living Memories, and is the founder of the Al Kags Trust for poetry.
